Waqar misses out on Australia job

Waqar Younis is no longer in contention to become Australia's new bowling coach after being turned down this week following an interview. Cricket Australia is searching for a replacement for Craig McDermott, who vacated the position in May, and Waqar was keen to take on the position and work with Australia's emerging crop of fast bowlers.

Could've used him to teach our boys how to tamper with the ball and not get caught. I mean... teach us how to "get better reverse swing". Yes, that's what I meant.

    Ahem.
Forgiveness lies too deep to be vanished away.

HA! The way he speaks, its no wonder he got rejected. Probably said swing and they heard cling!

Still CA should've done the worldwide fans a favour by appointing him as coach so that he is rid of our television sets (from doing commentary).

    +1

He fakes his accent very annoyingly and doesn't have the best of grammatical abilities either. The CA probably thought they would have to pay for a translator for the boys in case of Waqar becoming the coach.

Or did they think of appointing Usman Khawaja for that role ?
