Herath to Broad, OUT, full, swept and missed given out! and Broad goes straight for the referral. It doesn't look as if he's hit this...no hotspot in this series remember so there's no conclusive proof and Broad will have to go because hawk-eye has it hitting in line and going on to hit the stumps

So Cook got a jaffa from a seamer, Trott managed to miss a full toss, Pietersen got out being a mug to a seamer, Bell got a jaffa.

    Yep, definetly can't play spin.

James Anderson will be bowling without shoelaces in the second innings.

Pietersen gets out to a seamer.

    Can't play spin

    Dear Galle,

    Please start raining.

    That is all.

To be fair, as **** as that was, the only thing separating the two teams is Bell getting out to a beauty on 52 and Jayawardene getting dropped at a similar score.

The fact that most of our top order got themselves out is very frustrating.

FTR, England will still remain number 1 with a 1-1 draw in the series; they'll be level on points with South Africa.

Yeah, on the BBC it says lightening

Hopefully there's a thunderstorm for each of the next 3 days.

Hopefully there's no rain and some quality cricket from both teams.

Also the rain may damp the pitch and stop it from breaking up.

The ridiculous situation I find myself in is I don't know how I want the pitch to play. If it's flat Sri Lanka will get more runs, if it isn't then it will be harder for England to bat on.

Oh and I'm disappointed Maharoof didn't make the team, **** we could have done with some pies from him today.

Maharoof, England gotta tackle the spin here. They are making Herath look more dangerous than Murlidharan here

The thing is, we played Murali better. Makes absolutely no sense.

2007/08 I believe. Cook, Strauss, Pietersen, Bell and Prior all played.

I remember when Kevin Pietersen used to slog sweep Warne and Murali (even switch hitting Murali for six) into the stands.

    Announcement

If England win the match I'll have an avatar of the highest scorer (in our team) for life. Except for the time when I lose an avatar bet.
