If Jayawardena can push SL close to 350, Game's over for England. England will be looking to clean up the tail under 300 though.

So Dire. Continuing the UAE trend of finishing every day badly. And Panesar....I give up.

Anderson looked as if he was bowling quite well, but I was disappointed that Bresnan didn't play. Much more likely to get SL out with reverse swing than spin IMO.

stop fighting over the guy is fat or whatever. Concentrate on cricket. Panesar did well in the tour games but nothing from him so far in this game.

    ------------------

Swann's been the worst bowler so far, no wickets for 92 and went for 4 an over.

**** fielding as well. Can't give players like Jayawardene 4 chances.

On a more positive note, England in the SC is becoming one of the most fascinating contests in cricket. Throughout the tour of the UAE and today every game has been both intriguing and gripping.

Good to see that it's not a one-sided game. Today's first session will be very crucial for the game.

Make that 20 short now, down to last wicket though

    ------------------

Anderson gets 5 as SL are all out for 318.

    ------------------

Cook gone for 0, England 0 for 1

I think England's score by the end of the day would be around 260-5. Off to bed now, see ya all in the Morning.

    ------------------

The #1 team can't pick Herath

    ------------------

Bell trying to sweep a ball 3 feet outside off stump

Yeah, we haven't had a team score 300 against us in a while, what with playing India and all that

Lovely six and four by Bell.

Bob Wills just explained it; the reason he was annoyed was because the umpire signalled leg byes, therefore, telling Jayawardene that there was no bat involved.

Trott danced down like a retard and missed a full toss.....and what was Strauss trying to do? And then Bell tries to sweep a delivery 3 feet outside off stump....

Clearly your top order is troubled by Herath.

    Your denial makes me
