well, not really. What's hard about hitting a ball for a four? or even touching it?

On the contrary, players like Brett Lee has to run 1/4of a km just to deliver the ball while keeping the line and length dead on. It doesn't stop there, if they don't get wickets or keep the batsmen under certain runs, they get dropped out.

While batsmen keeps on getting chances after chances. For example, Sehwag and Sachin.

Cricket is a very unfair game.

yea, bowlers injure them so they can GTFO.

I hope Brett Lee bowls Sachin a beamer on his heart. Stop it for once and all.

Sachin Tendulkar's ascent to his 100th hundred was probably like the last leg of a Himalayan conquest. I say "probably" because I have experienced neither, nor am I likely to, but he seemed weary and consumed by the thought - in itself an unusual occurrence. He had started to fret a little bit, had refused to meet the media in Australia because he knew the 100th would be the focus of conversation. Like Betaal, the vampire spirit from an ancient Indian tale, the landmark clung to him and wouldn't let go, however hard he tried to ignore its presence. Eventually it got to him and the man who has always taken great pride in playing for India was forced to play for the hundred.

Therein lies the inherent contradiction of life; you want the landmark, but if that is what you play for, you don't get it. If you can hypnotise yourself into thinking that the landmark doesn't exist, you get it quicker. If the 100th hadn't been on Tendulkar's mind - and we must take part of the blame for that - he might have got it earlier. The more he thought of it the more distant it grew and the more distant it grew, the more it began to suffocate him.

    so very true

The utter, unapologetic selfishness of Sachin made me sick in my stomach. His selfishness has nothing to do with those Indians who put team above any individual player; and there are millions of such Indians. This has everything to do with that group of people for whom individual milestones are more important than team success and Sachin is one among those millions of selfish people we see every day. Now it is also clear that, to Sachin fanatics, individual milestones are more important than team success. I refuse to identify myself with such a group. Sachin could have played honest cricket and put his country and team's interest first in the Bangladesh match. But he couldn't because he is a very selfish player. Guilt and embarrassment were written all over his face, now that millions got to see his true colours once we lost the match. No two ways about it. He should cut this nonsense talk of playing for the nation, team and all of that. Not everybody is blind like his fans
