Flower defends England rotation Policy - It was telling that, not for the first time in this series, it was a man who was conspicuous by his absence who dominated the pre-Test discussion at Edgbaston. Speaking about England's decision to rest James Anderson from the final Test against West Indies,Andy Flower defended the rotation policy, saying that the demanding fixture list meant it would be "crazy and naive" to think England could utilise just three fast bowlers - Anderson, Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan - over the next couple of years.

The move has provoked a varied response. While some have understood that it is simply a sign of the times and more a reflection of England's hectic schedule than any slight on Anderson or the ticket-buying public of Birmingham, others have reacted as if it were an early sign of the breakdown of law, order and civilization. For example, Ian Botham, the former England allrounder and captain, wrote in his Mirror column that the decision was "complete madness" and "an insult to the English public who pay their money to go and watch the best players in the land represent them on the field".

It's Anderson. Piece of evidence; his arm guard (arm guards are only worn by bowlers or very small batsmen.

I know hot it feels man, same thing happens to me at nets. I bowl to everyone for hours, then when I go into bat, everyone's gone to get pissed and I'm there with like 2 people bowling some pies at me.

WI Pride at stake - Barath - Adrian Barath has called on his colleagues to help restore the pride of West Indies' cricket in the final match of the Test series against England at Edgbaston.

Barath, like the rest of West Indies' top four, has struggled to deal with England's seam attack in the first two Tests, but feels the team have shown signs of improvement and now just need to maintain their performance over a whole game in order to win tangible rewards for their progress. England have already secured the three-Test series with victories in the first two Tests at Lord's and Trent Bridge.

Been there... Now I choose not to bowl to them. I rather field and wait for my batting.

    Poor Anderson though.
