The weather forecast is pretty bad.
We've been really lucky to have two uninterrupted tests!

The warm-up match has started and look -
    KA Edwards lbw b Malik 0 (2m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Guy couldn't buy a run, I feel a bit sorry for him really

Feel for Edwards. Interesting to note Sarwan isn't playing for Leicestershire. Guess they didn't want any controversies.

I guess so. It doesn't really seem fair that they have to weaken their team though.

On a different note, did you catch James Taylors knock at the rose bowl on sky the other night? Great entertainment

Saw the highlights during the rain break in the Warwickshire v Kent game, was amazed by the innings. Didn't know he had it in him.

Me either, there were a couple of Dhoni style bottom hand whips that went some distance, it's quite a surprise from such a little guy. Notts are on sky tommorrow again I think so I guess there will be a lot of pressure to repeat it.
I'm still pissed off about Pieterson so any english prospect doing well is a treat.

Who opens with Cook now for you?

I'd just move Kieswetter back to opening and bring Stokes and Buttler into the middle order with Morgan and Samit. I know Ravi will be in there somewhere though

I don't think Ravi is back from injury so no chance this season. I'd like Luke Wright to get another chance.
I just saw the Ozzies are going on strike and might not come over this summer. I'm pissed cause i've got tickets for Lords.

^ maybe we'll send an Australia B team. Given England's recent ODI record against us that should be enough to beat you guys.

We'll send the NSW side over. Should be good enough.

Australia just tied an odi series with the windies! In fact if it hadn't been for a needless run out the windies would have won 3-2 and deservedly so.
I can't see an Aus win happening

WI are a far better ODI side than Eng...

And I like how you imply that a 3-2 scoreline would've been a deserved result on WI's part even though:

    A) Scorelines are nearly always indicative of who was the better side

    and

    B) WI were dominated through most of the series and only came back through late-order slogging

    and

    C) The Aus side we sent to WI was under-strength

^ Indeed... KP was a great player, you don't have anyone in his class to replace him. Shame you guys let AB De Villiers slip through the recruitment net to be honest.

I'll be interested to see how Cummins/Pattinson do against Eng.

Watson, Warner, Wade, Clarke, D Huss, M Huss, Christian, MJ, Starc, Lee, Doherty/Lyon

Perhaps with Cummins in place of Lee, since Lee is getting old now.

So MJ is one of your best ODI bowlers?!
I watched Starc in a county one day game the other night it might of been an off day but he was horrible-
    MA Starc 8 0 71 0 8.87 (2nb, 4w)

I'd have Cummins, Pattinson, Bollinger, and McKay over Starc.

Who would you pick for Eng v Aus ODI's, i'd go

    Finn, Broad, Anderson, Swann
But i'd want Dernbach too. It's a hard choice

Statistically MJ is one of the best ODI bowlers of the modern era.

Oh and if you're going to base your sampling on one match, then I might point out that James Anderson has some of the worst match figures in ODI history against his name. Ridiculous matches where he went for 70 - 90 runs for 1 or 0 wickets. I pick based on a combination of what I see and what the stats show. I like what I see in Starc. One bad match doesn't erase all the good ones he's had so far in his career.

lol Dernbach, biggest pie chucker ever? Must be close to it.

    http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cric...ch/433568.html

    And that's just recently.

Oh and here's Broad going for 73 in 9 overs... against the mighty........ IRELAND.
