I'm pretty sure that a formidable attack comprising of Steyn, Morkel and Philander can clean up your tail TBH. Maybe they'll do well once or twice but don't expect a consistent effort like against India...

    Dilan's video :yao:

    ------------------

Well, it does worry me that I haven't seen any of Morkel/Steyn/Philander REVERSE swing the ball, which would be quite necessary to clean up that tail!

True! It won't be the one dimensional attack we mostly see from other countries. Morkel = bouncers/short of the length; Steyn = yorkers/fast swinging deliveries... won't be easy for the English tail...

    ------------------

Amir/Asif could also be called one-dimensional...

It's bye bye time for England.

Against the likes of Steyn and Morkel, England stand no chance whatsoever. Look at that video, they are 133-6.

Yes, yes, look at that terrible line up. How they've been racking up scores in excess of 600 in the last 18 months I'll never know.

Huh, Amir is fast, skidy and swings it. Asif is tall and gets lots of seam movement. Through in Ajmal's mystery and it's one of the least one dimensional attacks in the world.

Why do you make posts like this. You do realise we were winning that series until that match. Steyn and Morkel couldn't get pat Onions FFS!

If Morkel does even half of what he did here, England will be in big trouble.

Steyn is in the form of his life atm especially after IPL he will be very fired up. Philander has been getting consistent wickets in county championship so he will have form going into the series. Imran Tahir is in conditions he is comfortable in and will be lethal agaisnt the tail enders in tandem with Steyn. So, i think to be writing of this line up is unrealistic. They are fantastic and will a major threat to any line up. I believe this series will be all about the bowlers running through batsmen because both teams have brilliant attacks.

Look at Steyn and Philander in Tandem, devastating!

yeah thats why i mentioned that batting is going to be stuff for both teams. I see very low scores but very tight finishes for these test matches.

England clearly have the better bowling lineup but SA have better batsmen. SA are overly reliant on Steyn and Philander though. I don't rate Morkel and Tahir bowls four 4 balls per over.

Strauss and Cook are Morkel's bunnies. Got them in both the innings.

I'll say again, last time I checked, he was getting smacked by his own team player and you call he is in the form of his life? Irony...

I just want to clarify that Steyn is bowling in IPL atm. What do you expect him to get 5 wickets every game and give up under 20 runs. He has been bowling really well and has speeds in the 150kmp region. His been bowling well in previous tests as well. And when he reaches England his gonna as fired up as ever. England better savor their time as number 1 because it wont last long.

Go SA!!! Steyn can be an annoying batsman too. He topped the averages in the series against us. :yao:

Yes, yes CSB, but we all know runs against Australia aren't really hard to come by. Well unless your Paul Collingwood, or Indian.
